"Caged"

Caged is a sculptural installation illustrating the battle between adventure and safety that occurs in our lives. That struggle is depicted using natural materials that reference nature as an integral part of our lives. Part of the installation is a small nest inside the cage...seemingly very protected but also limited or caged. The nest at the bottom symbolizes the home, security, safety and family. The opening and space around the cage represent leaving home for adventure.
