Time is the currency of nature.
Time is an installation that represents the link between nature and man, specifically time. Nature sets up the parameters of the human concept of time. Time is measured daily by the stars and organizes our year through the seasons. Humans are obligated through nature. We plan and follow nature's rhythm. Our lives and our patterns are based on nature's patterns and repetitions; day and night, winter, spring, summer and fall.
Central to this installation is a nest. The nest is a symbol of our home in nature, our center.
Each of the 12 bundles shining out from the nest, represents one of the stations of the clock. They also represent one of the 12 months of the year and mark the seasons. Color is used to represent each of the seasons and the nest is filled with colorful blooms that appear to be moving as does a clock and time.
