TIME

TIME IS THE CURRENCY OF NATURE.

TIME is an installation that illustrates the link between nature and man, specifically Time. Nature sets up the parameters of the human concept of time. Time is measured daily by the stars and organizes our year through the seasons. Humans are obligated through nature. We plan and follow nature's patterns and repetitions: day and night, winter, spring, summer and fall.

Central to this installation is a nest. The nest is a symbol of our home in nature, our center.

Each of the 12 bundles shining out from the nest represents one of the stations of the clock, which is the human representation of time. They also each represent one of the 12 months of the year and mark the seasons. The center of the nest is painted with images that resemble the rings of a tree which is nature's time keeping.
